Isolation of a Novel Amylase Producing Brachybacterium paraconglomeratum Strain FAD4 and Optimization of the Enzyme Production Conditions

A novel amylase producing bacterium FAD4 was isolated from the wastewater of a textile factory located in Soke (Aydın/Turkey). The production ability gram positive, coccoidal strain confirmed with plate assay. Morphological and 16S rRNA sequence analyses revealed that belongs to Brachybacterium paraconglomeratum species similarity 99.8%. optimal conditions for were determined as 72 h at 30 °C supplementation 1% starch. Optimum temperature pH 50 7.0 respectively. Different starch, carbon nitrogen sources investigated production. high enzyme observed potato starch among peptone induced amylase. Lactose, galactose, fructose also increased sources.
